GRID HMI In Action
GRID HMI factory integration devices have been in use for years in plants around the world. Every use case is different, but each shows the flexibility and value that the series provides.
In each case study below, you'll see how using GRID HMI leads to simpler, less expensive, integrated solutions that greatly reduce human error. The results are improved product quality at a lower cost.
Visual Inspection
A major automotive manufacturer uses GRID HMI to control a computer vision system integrated with MES data. The VIN of each vehicle passes directly to the MES system, which responds with the feature requirements to be captured by the computer vision system (CVS).
Tire Pressure Measurement
As each pair of vehicle tires crosses the antenna line, the GRID HMI sequences two ATEQ units to measure the pressure of each tire and record its ID. GRID displays the test results to an operator for confirmation, then forwards the data to the MES system.
Thermal Imaging
The GRID HMI connects to the vehicle, automatically activates the designated heating system devices and collects the temperature readings from the thermal cameras.
