This tab contains all of the options needed to configure Full Screen Picture ID feature: Incoming Calls: This determines when Picture ID is used during an incoming call. You have 4 choices here, which are:
Outgoing Calls: This determines when Picture ID is used during an outgoing call. You have 4 choices here, which are:
Picture Duration: This determines how long the picture remains on the display. Your first choice is Until Calls Ends, in which case the image remains on the screen until you (or your caller) terminates the call (but you can manually remove the image from the screen at any time by pressing the SELECT button). The second choice is Until Call Answered, in which case the picture will remain on the screen only until the conversation begins. Image Cache: This determines which area of memory is used to store the cache of images used by the Picture ID system. Your choices are Phone Memory and Mass Memory. If your phone doesn't support mass memory, this option will not appear. When you change this option, the images in question will be moved from one storage area to another, which may take a number of seconds. A wait dialog will appear to let you know this is happening. Picture Selector: Due to a mistake made by Symbian in later version of FP2, those phones don't grant access to the media selection dialog for applications that are self-signed. If you get an access denied error when you try to assign a Fullscreen Picture ID you should switch to using the Alternate Selector. If you are able to use the native selector, you're still free to select the alternate one if you like it better. Incoming Delay: This sets the amount of delay (from 0.25 seconds to 2.00 seconds) that will be applied between the time an incoming calls is detected to the time that a Full Screen Picture ID is displayed. This had to be added due to changes made in the Feature Pack 2 release of S60 3rd Edition. The default value is 1.00 seconds, but if you have an FP1 phone you can dial this back to just 0.25 seconds and have no trouble. You'll know that you've set this value too low if Full Screen Picture ID appears not to work. This is because the picture must be displayed after the native answer-this-call dialog is displayed. |
