This tab displays the total amount of data your phone has used since the beginning of the current billing cycle. Data usage is divided into two primary groups: Packet Data, which is the data you get over your provider's network; and WiFi data, which is data you get over your own (or someone else's) wireless router. Within these two major divisions data usage is segregated by incoming and outgoing data. The tab also gives you the percentage of your monthly packet data allocation that you've thus far used, as well as a grand total of data usage (the sum of all the parts). Using the Billing Tab of the Options dialog you specify all of your billing information, including the day of the month on which you billing cycle starts, how much data you are allotted per month, and at what point to change from showing values in megabytes to showing values in gigabytes.

When the current month comes to an end, the values accumulated for the previous month are saved so that you can view them at your leisure throughout the current month. You can then compare it against you bill when that comes in the mail (or is placed online by your provider).

The option for choosing the switch-over point for MB to GB is accommodate varying tastes. The above example has had the switch-over point set to 9,999 MB so that the display will only show MB until it exceeds a total monthly usage of 10 GB. The default setting for this value to 1,024 MB, which is exactly the number of megabytes in 1 GB. Had we set this as the switch-over point in the above example, the Total Data line would have read 1.38 GB.

Keyboard Behavior

The right softkey will always say Back. Pressing this key returns to the Name Tab.

The left and right cursor keys are used to move to an adjacent tab. Right moves to the Airtime tab, while left moves to the Groups tab.

Pressing the TALK key will dial the default phone number of the current contact. However, if the that contact doesn't have a phone number, but it does have an email address, then pressing TALK begins a new email message to the default email address. See the documentation on the #s and Emails tab for details on setting default numbers and addresses. Also see the section on Calling Cards for details on how numbers are dialed.

The END key sends the program to the background and returns the phone to the idle screen.

All other keys have no function in this tab.

Menu Functions

View Last Month: If you are presently viewing the current month's data usage, this item will appear in the menu, allowing you to view the data used last month.

View This Month: If you are presently viewing last month's data usage, this item will appear in the menu, allowing you to return to this month's data usage. Note that leaving this tab and returning to it will always redisplay this month's usage.

Refresh Data: This function rescans the log and updates the figures in this display. Because the process takes a few seconds, it isn't done automatically.

Airtime Options: This takes you directly to the Billing Tab of the Options dialog. It has been provided as a convenience.

Exit: This option terminates the program.
